Film Production

Though TLU Dramatic Media is not strictly a film program, we take our film production seriously.  As a hybrid program, we explore the intersections and relationship between all forms of storytelling, with particular emphasis on theatre, film, and emerging forms of media.  As a result, our students experience a broader range of production activities than they would in a traditional program for theatre or film.  Although many student performers quickly see the advantages of learning in a hybrid setting, the approach has also helped develop skills  in writing, directing, and design for both the stage and screen—including the screens that we carry in our pockets.  Upon graduation, our students have become well-rounded artists, with a broad foundation of experiences that prepare them to compete in multiple arenas of the industry.
